The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Anniversary Special

This is one of the things HBO does BEST!!!! 4 hours of almost non-stop music that never failed to entertain. Yeah, some clunkers here and there, missed changes on so many easy songs, but all in all a prettty wonderful night. It'll be rebroadcast for a while, check it out.

Thanks, Worf. I'll keep an eye out for it... you know how HBO loves to rebroadcast its content. Hopefully, they'll have a nicely edited 2-hour highlights version on Blu-Ray soon.

I watched the first couple hours or so. It was great seeing...

...Crosby, Stills and Nash up there, and the song Crosby and Nash did with Bonnie Raitt was most excellent. They can still sing, can't they? Stevie Wonder was good too, ditto Simon and Garfunkle for the most part. Jeff Beck got to do too little and Metallica too much. I really didn't care for the version of Sweet Jane with Lou Reed, and Lou's clearly seen better days. His voice was never great, but it sounds about shot to he
I would like to catch some more of it down the road. I prolly missed some good stuff, but I was beat and had to call it a night.
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.

    It's being replayed tonight.
So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : "Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing"
I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"
