Ya we caught that here in London. They were interviewing poor Ronnie Hawkins, who was really bummed out.

The original report that I heard said that the news came from Ronnie Hawkins! :nonod:
Apparently, Lightfoot was at the dentist in downtown Toronto when this rumour started, so he was able to walk over to the CP24 (24 hr news TV station) offices and get on TV to prove it's not true.
Can you imagine lying in the dentist chair and finding out that the news is reporting your death? LOL.

Circumstantial at best. That only shows that he came in 4th. It doesn't specifically say that he was alive at the time. For all I know this is cousin Bernie all over again.

So does this mean I have to take down my 10-11 Gordon Lightfoot LP's that I posted on E-Bay starting at $100 a piece....... :D
Glad to hear he is still with us.
Went and saw him in concert a few years back and he was great.
