Rob Dougan, Furious Angels -- great song, awesome video. It does a really good job of keeping you in the dark until the very last moment, and yet still building the tension.

Clubbed to Death is pretty good, too, in terms of being able to build tension, production values, etc.

    Top 5

Here are my top 5 music videos of all time....

    LINGER -Cranberries

incredibly well done video paying homage to Jean Luc Godard and more specifically his film ALPHAVILLE and many other French New Wave nuances.

    TAKE ON ME -Aha

awesome visual storytelling and unique. unforgettable and emotional.

ALL IS FULL OF LOVE -Bjork

incredibly well done video by Chris Cunningham. My friend and I joke that the robots were ripped off for the film I, ROBOT, so we retitled the film I, BJORK.

    HURT -Johnny Cash

probably Mark Romanek's masterpiece video, and he has done some really great work, but this one is simple in nature, raw, powerful, and perfectly captures the essense of both the song and more importantly the life of Johnny Cash. genius.

    SLEDGEHAMMER -Peter Gabriel

revolutionary music video that really redefined music videos in many ways, up until this point they were very experimental, but lacked focus...this video took experimentation and pure imagination and fused them together for an unforgettable experience.

It's amazing how the music changes the whole flavour of a movie. I like the Kenna video (for "Hell Bent"), but I love the original treatment (featuring New Order's "Elegia")
