QUICK! worst actor attempt at music
Of course we all know William Shatner turned 'bad' into an art form, but some actors' attempts at music are just plain bad.

I won't go into a whole list, but my first nominations would be:

Bruce Willis - Return Of Bruno
    Don Johnson - Heartbeat
Eddie Murphy - How Could It Be

Thing is, these 3 albums had hit songs. :nonod:

How about the one by Scarlett Johanson doing Tom Waits songs?

She just put out a CD with Pete Yorn. I haven't heard it, but just the thought scares me. I have Yorn's first two CDs and I like them.

Did you know that Don Johnson wrote and sings on the Allman Brother song Bougainvillea?

I have now searched out that one on Rhapsody and listened to a Pete Yorn album, Scarlett's album, and the duo's album...each one start to finish. Although I don't have the perspective of a previous Pete Yorn fan, the new one seems to settle into being a Pete Yorn album after the first song.

...it's not bad at all. Her voice reminds me of an old-timey female torch/lounge singer, and I do like Pete. As far as 'actors turned singers' I've heard a lot worse.

...as she wasn't trying to be a singer, just having fun with our National Anthem. It was, however, atrocious.

I would submit nearly anything by...
...Rick Springfield or Kevin Bacon. Do they have some talent? Yeah, but they really should stick to acting or whatever. They wrote/write some really lame-as<a>s ****e.

And the aforementioned 'Boogie in Your Butt' or whatever by Eddie Murphy...deplorable and so many levels.

I didn't even see this thread before I posted in the other one.

That Jack Lemmon album actually looks intriguing.

Nothing grates me more than that godawful song that Patrick Swayze "wrote" for the Dirty Dancing soundtrack... I also had a friend who had a cassette of Kurt Russell's demo in his car and I remember that being pretty excruciating.
