Whatever you did, you did good

Not a bad list, but to make it complete I would also add Mama's and Papa's "California Dreamin" and Don Mclean's "Castle In The Air".

I'm glad you like them. None of them would make my top 50. Of course that's what having different taste is all about.

IMO any list of the top 20 pop tunes of all time that doesn't have Billy Jean on it is way off base.

Marcof PPA1, Shure, Sumiko, Ortofon carts, Yamaha DVD-S1800
    Behringer UCA222, Emotiva XDA-2, HiFimeDIY
    Accuphase T101, Teac V-7010, Nak ZX-7. LX-5, Behringer DSP1124P

Without passing any judgement on yr list or trying to come up with a perfect 20 of my own, let me just say that The Knife's "Heartbeats" ought to be in the discussion.

The Knife - Heartbeats - YouTube

I would like to think such a list would inspire more discussion than anything else.

    Disagree away!

One could always post their own list.

I did consciously leave off the Beatles cuz I figured they'd be on everyone else's list.

But yeah, in my haste I did forget XTC, but would be stumped to pick only one of their songs. And I also left off one of my fave songs of all time, Feel Flows by the Beach Boys.
