Pink Floyd: Pulse // DVD review
Yes I said DVD. Its a Russian 'import' my neighbor got a few months ago from the web. He let me borrow it and I've watched it a few times so far. This is the tour that supported their Division Bell album. Can't comment on video or sound quality since this was obviously an analog transfer, but performance-wise these dudes look like old stiffs. And the camera work looks like it was contracted out to a local TV affiliate; very non-engaging. This one is from a concert in London back '95 or '96 and includes Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety, which must have been a blast to see in person. Beyond that, it is quite pedestrian and the lavish stage set is probably the star of the show. This doesn't hold a candle to Roger Water's In The Flesh. Delicate Sound Of Thunder is a better concert than this.

That Waters dvd is possibly one of the best ever recorded gigs I have seen, easily.
