Ok, so why am I now a friggin' newbie???

I know I've been here at least 3 or 4 years, perhaps longer, although I really can't remember. I went into my profile to check, but I can't find anything about it. This is really gonna take some getting used to (sigh).

hell, I've been reduced to a guest user, and I am logging in under my daughter's name, so I don't have to re-register, and thus lose my moniker - well hey, I've lost it anyway haven't I??

What I want to know is - how can I get a cute little picture under my name like I am seeing on some posts??

Secondly: on the upper right of the page, click my profile, then click (forth one over) avatar, then click use custom avatar, then pick one of the ways to load an avatar.
