    New ride

we'll be picking this up in about a week.. (same color, different wheels)

we haven't actually had much experience in the vehicle, we're just kind of throwing the dice, we've read lots of good things, lots of people love them, we know it's no hot rod, but it's for the wife and kids to get around town, and for that function we've heard it's actually pretty decent... From what I hear it has a pretty awesome stereo (includes cd player that reads MP3 cds).. so I'm sure I'll have a report for ya'll once I've gotten a chance to drive it around the block a few times.

    I'm jealous.

I've drooled over one of them. Too bad they cost what I make in a year (what are they, $18,000?).

Hope you like it! If not, you know where to send it.

I was looking at the xA about a year ago when I ended up with my current ride. Yes, it does have good sound system, and lots of room. Just don't push it, and you'll be fine. I was also impressed by some of the amenities -- congrats!

    ahhh, new car smell!

Don't personally know anything about the car but I hope it gets really good gas mileage!

2006 Scion Xb. Scion is the budget line of Toyota, they have 3 cars, a sporty coupe, a little hatch back and the one we're getting, a boxy wagon/suv thingy. It does have a lot of room (apparently, 6ft + people have plenty of headroom, not like I need it), but it does get great gas mileage.. 30mpg city, 34 highway. Definately one of the selling points for us.

After a little on-line research I see that they aren't yet available in Canada. That explains why I didn't know what it was.

I've spent some time on the Scion web site and it looks like a nice line of cars for the price. Lots of standard features that would be optional on lots of more expensive cars. I'm looking forward to their expansion into Canada so that I can check out the real thing.

Good Driving Jar. Drive safe and enjoy your new car!

    Hey Jar....

    Congrats Jarman!!

I like the look of the familymobile you just picked up. As FA mentions, we don't have them in Canada yet, but they sure beat the look of a minivan.

We just got out of the minivan years and man what a relief to drive something different.

    Enjoy,

    Bill

Congratulations, Jar. I'm happy to report that my ride just passed the 6-digit mileage mark yesterday...and it's still driving strong & smooth.

What's wrong with the look of a minivan? Here's the one I just bought Mrs. JDaniel. Pretty cool looking for a minivan.

With 4 kids, minivans are still the only thing that works for us. And my wife refuses to drive a monster SUV.
