    No really...

I find different layers everytime I listen, as is the case with most PT albums.

Is this different than the old Deadwing? Must be, since the old Deadwing wasn't so good (IMO).

I love spacey guitar-y stuff like PTree and Eloy. This is right up that groove. Rarely does a cd get several repeat listens without anything in-between, but this release was stuck in my player for a week. Really good vocals, guitar work and songwriting, better than the first release which I also think highly of. I can't see how any fan of PTree's Skymovessideways, or Stupid Dream could not love this. I think it was Troy who commented in a tuesday thread that 'Out of myself' had cookie monster vocals and that scared some off, there's just a minisule amount of those vox on both releases, barely enough to register.
Fans of older style PTree should eat this up, don'tcha think?
I'm hoping Riverside will be one of the unfilled slots at this years Nearfest, they had visa problems last year and had to cancel.

    Oh sure Rich, blame me!

Yeah, only a little cookie monster on the disc I have. Parts of it are good, but I dunno, It's just not as interesting as the PT in the way the same Blackfield or Opeth discs are not as good, tho I can see fans of one liking the other.

    YMMV
(which does NOT mean You Make Me Vomit)
