    Nero and Windows XP compatibility
Apparently, Nero Burning ROM has compatibility problems with Windows service pack 2 for XP. I've burned several cds using Nero without incident (even though I got the compatibility message), but the last 2 I've burned had errors resulting in 2 useless cdrs. The files I've attempted to burn are windows media files from my hard drive. I have other options like realplayer for saving music files, but I don't know if it would make a difference. I'm attempting to download the updates for Nero ver. 6 but it's very slow. Has anyone experienced or resolved this problem?

    Service Pack 2
Service Pack 2 is known to break many programs after installing. There isn't much about SP2 that home users need to worry about anyway. You can always uninstall it and go back to SP1 where all your programs still work. The main enhancement is Microsofts useless Firewall. It's a joke compared to Norton. I am recomending that my customers don't install SP2. If you insist on keeping it, dissable the Security Center and use Norton Internet Security.

Software vendors are scrambling to write Patches for software that SP2 breaks.

Here is some info that may be usefull.
