Sadly yes. This is the third time I've fished this question around. If I knew more about TTs I could just find a site that sell stylis and be done, but then I'd have know what kind of cartridge I have (it looks like a Ratshack brand). I've tried four different sites this week and I got nuthin.

Jeez, rather than go through all of that, you can buy several tt's that are going to be at least as good, probably a whole lot better on ebay.
There are several acceptable models by Dual, Kenwood, Pioneer or others. Personally I would go that route and then if needed, there are some pretty decent cartridges that available for sale that should work out OK. I bought an audiotechnica green (at71i) for 20 bucks NIB off ebay. Put it on a Dual CS 508 and honestly, it's a pretty decent sounding table. Cost all of about 50.00 altogether.
To be clear, I have a couple of other tables I like more, but the cartridges alone cost more than this entire set up.
Search ebay for Dual turntables and you'll see what I'm talking about. Dual especially is, imo way underrated. Germans can and do over-engineer on occasion but these are not bad deals if you're looking to go in thriftly.
