More beer talk....BridgePort India Pale Ale!
Yumm, this is some good stuff. Wish I had one right now. A few days ago I made my way through the picketers at Albertson's to pick up some groceries and saw they had a beer I hadn't tasted before on sale. It's a bottle conditioned India Pale Ale by BridgePort Brewing Co., and let me tell you, I love those India Pale Ales! But the clencher for a cheapass guy like me was that it also had a $1.00 off coupon hanging around one of the bottle necks in the 6-pack, so I grabbed it and never looked back. Boyo, this is some good stuff. Very hoppy. Definitely recomended for the $4.49 price (after coupon discount) they're selling it for right now. Not surprisingly (because by now you all know I have excellent taste :)), it's also very highly rated at the RateBeer site. http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer...asp?BeerID=106 Goes especially well with Yo La Tengo. But can't beat it with some Grandaddy or some La's too. Rocks like a wild pig (or collared peccary as they call the overgrown desert scrub rats down here that pass for wild pigs) with the Libertines. It's quite a versatile brew.

If you can find it, give a try to Sam SMITH's India Pale Ale, their Winterfest/Octoberfest, and their Nut-Brown Ale.

VERY good stuff and rank very high on my lists of favorite beers.

If you happen to be a fan of dark beers, their "Celebrated Oatmeal Stout" makes Guiness look like Miller Lite...

Yumm, you're not kidding BMW guy! Except I can't even buy 2 bottles for the price of the BridgePort 6-pack. I did happen to mention that I'm a cheapass, right? :)

Everything I've had from Samuel Smith's has been outstanding, even their lowly lager. Great brewery. One of my favorites too. They did used to have some pretty good prices at Trader Joe's, but not so much anymore.
