    I currently am earworm-free but, perhaps in my teenage puppylove angst years, have had issues with that song. Not to change the nature of the thread but I'm pretty sure at the time I'd have follwed that with...

    Cool, Bob. Not to get too philosophical here, but I just love to let songs hypnotize me into saying whatever is on my mind at the time. I write it down and the results have been amazing to say the least. So I say to all cherish those moments when something musical affects you. Because in the moment you are capable of better understanding yourself.

    Unfortunately.... for me at least.... I've a co-worker I love like a dear friend but want to kill like a little brother. He comes in to the office every morning all bright and chirpy usually singing *mangling" the lyrics of some god awfull song from the 70's or 80's. Usually some dreck that I'd tried quite hard to forget.... and it never fails, within seconds.... that song is stuck in my head for the rest of the mornin'. Ah wants to mutilate him!!!! But I can't.... more's the pity. Last week it was "The Night Chicago Died".

    Oh the humanity.

    I love me some Stevie Wonder, but he also made some truly irksome songs. Same with Paul McCartney. Then they both tag teamed for one of the worst earworms of all time, Ebony And Ivory.
