Lucinda Williams - Down Where the Spirit Meets The Bone
Although I already had a CD of this, I came across a deeply discounted unopened copy ($18) of the 3LP version put out by Thirty Tigers. I have generally avoided labels I am not familiar with, but I can report all three discs were very quiet and flat. As to SQ, there is not much difference to my ear, as the CD is very good on my system. But I love this album and the music, with its swampy, Muscle Shoals flavor just feels right on vinyl.

Pop Fact - Lucinda Williams is the Daughter of the poet Miller Williams. The album title is his work. His poetry is quite accesible and worth a read.
