    Loving this Classic Album

    Been listening (a lot) to an old Blue Note RVG classic :

    SOMETHIN' ELSE.............a la 1958.

    I own it. There's a lot of great albums from that era. I went through a spell where I scooped up a lot of albums from '56 thru '60.

    I like the title track and One For Daddy-O the best, though this album does have one of the more tolerable versions of Autumn Leaves (man, what was with that era's fascination with that song?)

    Heh. I've wondered that too. I like this one better from the Cannonball canon...ahem.

    Doesn't have Miles, but Nat does well. It's the rhythm section that makes it work for me.

    MasterCylinder, that's a great bunch of old cool man! nothing new Jazz wise, ever comes close to those old masters, IMHO anyways. talking about getting to the roots of passion those musicians could take us their.
