    Cocaine flame in my bloodstream
Sold my coat when I hit Spokane
Bought myself a hard pack of cigarettes in the early morning rain
Lately my hands they don't feel like mine
My eyes been stung with dust and blind
Held you in my arms one time
    Lost you just the same
    Jolene
I ain't about to go straight
    It's too late
I found myself face down in a ditch
    Booze in my hair
    Blood in my lips
A picture of you holding a picture of me
In the pocket of my blue jeans
Still don't know what love means
Still don't know what love means
    Jolene
Been so long since I seen your face
Or felt a part of this human race
I've been living out of this here suitcase for way too long
A man needs something he can hold onto
A nine pound hammer or a woman like you
Either one of them things will do
    Jolene
I ain't about to go straight
    It's too late
I found myself face down in a ditch
    Booze in my hair
    Blood on my lips
A picture of you holding a picture of me
In the pocket of my blue jeans
Still don't know what love means

One of my favourite songs of his. I learned how to play that one on my guitar, but it's been a while. I might just have to drag out the tabs for a refresher...thanks for the reminder.

Ray has become one of my favourite artists and I have to thank Swishy for the introduction.

    Thanks Swishdaddy.

I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.

Wow. Ray's show is sold out. I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. I mean, if Porcupine Tree can sell out the same theatre then I really shouldn't be suprised that Ray Lamontagne could do it.

I guess I'm always a little suprised when an artist that doesn't get any airplay or have mass distribution on their CD can sell out shows. It just goes to show that the music loving public doesn't always rely on the media to shove the latest darling down our throats and tell us what to like.

    Good for Ray.

And good for the music loving public to know a good thing when they hear it. (but where did they hear it?).
