    Just got tickets for Les Dudek
    Yeah I know he's old, but so am I.

    I guess I have enjoyed Les since I was 10 or so being played by my brothers. One of my favs is a Steve Miller song written by Boz Scaggs called Sacrifice. Yep, that's Les playing all the good guitar. Tickets are only $17.50, what a throwback!

    Sounds like it's gunna be a great show. I'm one of those guys that checks LP covers for contributing artists so I been a fan for a long time running. Enjoy and let us know how the show was.

    PS; Southern Fried Blues-Rock, sounds like an old Nazareth song "Kentucky Fried Blues".

    Wow! I didn't expect anyone to bring up Les Dudack. I thought he was too obscure or long forgotten, and he is touring of all things. I have City Magic on LP.

    Hyfi aren't you out East? The casinos around here have some clubs that bring in older bands that were good and StL is a Classic/obscure Rock kind of town but Les has never made it through. Trower comes through every year.

    I haven't heard a Dicki Betts solo album I was very fond of but I saw him open up for Marshall Tucker in the early 80's and he scorched the place. He just blew me away. Details are foggy as I said it was the 80's plus I spent the day of the concert at a German festival, so lucky I made it to the concert at all.

    I guess I didn't realize how much I enjoyed Dudek until now - I figured Stevie "Guitar" Miller did most of his own solos. I also didn't know Dudek played guitar on Sacrifice (one of my fave SMB songs). That song smokes on a good rig - one of SMB's last great space-blues songs. I guess I need to look the old dude up.

    Agreed, Sacrifice is killer on my rig too. I have also heard a cool version of it by Boz but don't know what it's on.

    Yeah, I am east, northeast just outside Philly. In Sellersville is a small venu where lots of old timers come for cheap. Every seat is good.

    Check this out, I had no idea Les was in the movie Mask. He is sitting below Cher.

    I can see on the agenda this weekend is pulling my only Dudack vinyl out for a spin.

    Any idea which album has "Old Judge _________" forgot the rest.

    Not to hijack but who has Tommy Bolin or Pat Travers?

    I've got Bolin's CD which features Post Toastied. I also have a Billy Cobham LP which features Bolin and Jan Hammer.

    I've got two CD's and about four other LP's of Travers.
