Josh Ritter knows his way around a venue, and in his case, the smaller, the better. His performances are at their greatest when the played in a smaller-scale location. He was just in St. Louis, Mo., on Friday night, where he played a sold-out show (months in advance) at Off Broadway. and found a review, show setlist and photos. They can all be found at the Riverfront Times' music blog, A to Z.

That's a tough one. I'm not a big fan of Mastodon. But I don't like monkey's either...they are inherently evil...even the little tiny ones. In fact, the little ones are the worst because they can hide in small places like pockets and pencil cases and then jump out and surprise you when you least expect it.

I'm going with Mastodon. Final answer.
