Unconfirmed rumor, but he didn't make it to the Ramones tribute show in LA the other night with X & the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dickies, Eddie Vedder, Rob Zombie, et al. 3/4 of the Ramones dead, hard to believe.

Johnny Ramone died after a 5 year fight with prostrate cancer on wednesday.

Well that sucks. I had hoped the reports were in error but it even made the KC paper this morning. I don't know much about his personal life but it's a shame he wasn't able to live longer and enjoy his legacy after so many years of hard work, much of it in relative obscurity compared to lesser bands.
I'll be spinning some Ramones today to be sure.
