    Jennifer Batten

I was searching for some Jef Beck - Tal Wilkenfeld vids on YouTube and came across some JB with Jennifer Batten. Awesome slinger that I never heard of. She has been a session guitarist for many greats and has 3 solo albums.

You can listen to samples on her site along with a couple vids and YT has plenty.

Anyone familiar with her playing? If not, what do you think?

Yeah, I've been familiar with her for quite some time. She was the one charged with gee-tar duties on at least three of Michael Jackson's tours---and that means being responsible for reproducing lines from Eddie, Slash, and Stevie Stevens. No small task to be sure. She's an educated, tasty, and talented musician.

Hailing from within that same stable there is another similarly talented young lady, Orianthi...

So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : "Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing"
I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

    Wow, friggin awesome!

Just how many Paul Reid Smith guitars does she have? I stopped counting. Very cool to hear anyone play like Santana.

    This is Ash Soular

And then I found this, Desiree Bassett

    Sticks,

I spent half my weekend watching vids of the above two gals along with this one, Chantel McGregor. Aside from her solo works, she plays all kinds of great classic rock from Hendrix to Trower, Blind Faith, and this great version of Tull's A New Day Yesterday....

She also sat in with Joe Banamasa without rehearsal or even ever playing the song before.
