Guess they finally cleared out all the unused old monikers so I was able to reclaim my old name without the dot, something I couldn't get them to do in the beginning. Just happened to be on the forums page and saw the latest new member had a pretty common name so did a quick check and sure enough, no Davey listed except my dotted one. I know, kind of silly to even bother, but I went ahead and registered it and switched over. Ah, I feel so young and fresh again!
