If you don't have Destroyer's Kaputt..

...you're missing out on one of the best records from 2011. Oh, and I have tickets to see them in Philly on June 17th.

Here's the title track that exemplifies the mood created by leader Dan Bejar. I haven't heard all 11 or their records, but many reviewers comment about how he continues to evolve and change with each one. Enjoy.

I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.

I agree! this is one of the best new albums of the last year or so...one that is imminently listenable too. I just put it on 'cuz of this thread, enjoyed side 3 for some Eno-esque ambience and followed it up with a spin of David Sylvain's Brilliant Trees...great pairing, kinda messes with your sense of which decade we're currently living in...
I saw them (Destroyer, that is) on their last tour in support of this one. Great show, really good crew of guys on horns...they played an awesome version of Painter In My Pocket from 'Destroyer's Rubies' with a full horn section, nice... Have fun
