    The Hours

    The Hours - Narcissus Road

Just got hold of this. And to these ears it's a real quality release.
As early as June I could have a contender for album of the year. This album is beautifully textured with a breathtaking array of musical difference across the tracks. Clearly the writing team have a rare skill in being able to cross different musical landscapes. The albums influences are as wide as Radiohead, Scott Walker, Gang of Four and the Blue Nile. This may give some indication of the range of this superb debut.
Some tracks could have come straight out of Mark Hollis' pen and wouldn't feel out of place on the "Colour of Spring" album.

    Peace

Sounds like something I should try. Thank you Bernd for exposing me to music I did not know about but now enjoy so much.
