    Happy Monkey Day!
    It's our very own Monkey Bones' birthday today. Are human years multiplied or divided by 7 to get monkey years? I can never get that straight.

    Anyway, happy birthday wishes to the old primate.

    And belated good wishes to Stone who celebrated his own big day on the 15th.

    Weakest year in the last 5 for me, amigo. I still may chance that Blanche some of these days. Two late-in-the-year listens helped perk things up some- Levon Helms' Dirt Farmer and Porter Wagoner's Wagonmaster, neither of which will get any traction here, I suspect.

    I think I've only been able to sit through Springsteen's Magic twice since I bought it. Major disappointment, as I like the music, but the sq is nothing less than painful on my system.

    Sorry I missed the b'day of one of our elder statesmen.
    I know you already have your AARP card, but I will be joining the ranks in a few short months. Sad to say, but true. Funny thing is, I don't feel a day over 48.
