It's worse than you think. Mine's one week after my brother's b-day, then 4 days after New Year. It's an after-after-afterthought for most people.
But... my mom just called me. At work. From 1000 miles away. And that's kinda sweet, no?

Sometimes, when I was a kid. Now my family knows better. :D
We have a lot January b-days in my family also. I'm the 5th, my dad was the 8th, Hubby is the 17th and our niece is the 18th. And all less than a month after Christmas. Whew!
