    That new Rush album...

    Ho hum.

    Bought it this weekend.

Wish I would have waited to find it used.

It's okay but has that same lousy crappy sound style like Vapor Trails does. No synth, and those annoying overdubbed background vocals ruin it.

Great idea to do a covers album but the sound turns me off.

Only for the die hard fan.

Bought it this weekend too. Used, 6 clams.

Best thing they've done in many years. I like the song selection. All those anti-war songs seem appropriate today.

I think the recording is fine.

Rush has gotten SO boring and predictable over the last 10 or 15 years. This is a real surprising departure for them. I only wish they had taken the arrangements further instead of playing it so straight. But I understand that the whole POINT was to play it straight.

For Rush fans and fans of the golden age songs they covered. I think my favorites are probably "The Seeker" and "Shapes of Things".

I like the song selection, too. Takes me back. Makes me think that me and them grew up with some of the same influences and at the same time.
