When someone has signed contracts with EMI, A&M, & Elektra records, sacked a guy who could actually write a song for a guy with a more suitable image, made a spectacle of himself on music television channels, went on Judge Judy, and participated in two nostalgia reunion tour cash-ins, I'm not sure that a butter commercial constitutes a sellout. I don't think he ever resisted the idea that he was a businessman, at least not during the past 25 years or so.
I think it's hysterical. And, unless he moved back, he lives in California, which makes it even funnier.

Oh, I was being tongue-in-cheek when I typed 'sell-out', like he'd always been about the craft up till now. Saw him on a few of those talkshows and such...making a spectacle of himself was his only act - it wasn't like he was the musical guest or anything.
