Another one flew under my 2003 radar....

Picked up yesterday- EZT, Goodbye Little Doll. I assume that EZT is Colin Michael Gagon. From what little I can gather, he has recorded and toured with Will Oldham and with Smog. This is pretty insidious stuff- definitely tinged with some Oldham, yet diffferent. There's some twang to it, not overbearing. Strange melodies, subversive lyrics, what's not to like? Neil Young influences, too. Insound described it as "Like Danzig helping Jerry Jeff Walker eat Lou Reed."

Hey, it's a good thing no one really pays attention to what we say here, huh?

I think I'll spend some time seriously listening for a change, particularly with the new pre amp finally getting here this afternoon- about ready to give it a test drive.

thanks for the Joan Armatrading tip. Easily the best of the last few by her I have (got most of the cataloge). I bought it for the Mrs. for Christmas, but opened it and have played the hell out of it. Looks like she'll get the new Bowie instead and I keep this one.
Do I have to spell it out?
