Saw him at Woodstock, where TYA just blew the crowd away with their high energy set. Saw them again in 1974 in Philly with a band called "Climax Blues Band" that opened up the show. Followed by Bachman Turner Overdrive which was probably their initial tour. Great show and great memories.

They were one of my faves when I was a kid. How sad. He was still relatively young (68).

Randy Bachman should never follow Alvin Lee...........that's ridiculous.

If you ever need a "routine surgery" (oxymoron), don't get it Spain.

Saw TYA during their 1975 US Tour and Slade opened for them. Alvin was an awesome guitarist, he had a show planned with Johnny Winter next month in Paris...RIP Al
