So I took a personal day to get some things done at the homestead and, inevitably, that got interupted. Long story made short, on the return trip home I took a different route than usual and ran into yet another new music post in Indy. Herafter known as "Davey's" this little spot had the largest collection of obscure titles I have ever seen.

Searching through the jazz section I came across Bjork Guomundsdottir & trio Guomundar Ingolfssonar~ Gling-Glo I thought it quite a novelty that there was "another" Bjork and snapped it up on general principle. It turns out that it is, indeed, our heroine, Ms. Glockenschpiel herself.

It appears that "It's Oh So Quiet" is not an anomoly. Gling-Glo(1990) is an entire album of jazzy swing a la Jane Monheit. One listen under my belt would lead me to believe that if one liked "It's Oh So Quiet" one would be quite fond of this despite its origins in her native Icelandic tongue.

Anyone ever heard or heard of this bit of tunage?

Peace
