Well, it was snowing here today so the home building business was slow enough that i could actually leave work early. Stopped by Borders Books and Music on the way home to pick up the new issue of Fine Homebuilding magazine and got lured over to the music section where i proceeded to spend money i hadn't planned on spending on 8 new CD's. Among the purchases:

Blue Merle - Burning in the Sun
Assembly of Dust - The Honest Hour
Bela Fleck - The Bluegrass Sessions (yes, i am still into bluegrass)
The Shins - Oh, Inverted World
Hot Rize - So Long of a Journey, Live at the Boulder Theater
Allison Krauss and Union Station - Lonely Runs Both Ways
Low Millions - ExGirlfriends
and a bluegrass collection i can't remember the name of....

So far have listened to AKUS and now finishing up with a first spin of Low Millions. Both left me with good first impressions. The AKUS was a little more downbeat than i had hoped, but makes for a beautiful listen nonetheless. Low Millions is a solid pop album with only maybe two tracks that didn't do much for me. Blue Merle just started on its title track... which i've heard lots on the radio lately and like. Hope the rest of the album is as good.

Will post more later.

Man its nice to back in the fold....
