    Back to the year ????

"Information, regurgitated, and forced into machines.."

"You're like a great big hit of acid, waiting to be taken!"

"Grey would be the color, if I had a heart.."

"Predetermined destiny is who I am
You got your finger on the trigger like the Son of Sam I am
Like Clockwork Orange goin' off on the town
I've got homeboys bonanza to beat your ass down"

"and if the ground's not cold
    everything is gonna burn
    we'll all take turns"

    "hopelessly fighting the devil futility
feeling the moster climb deeper inside of me
feeling him gnawing my heart away hungrily
i'll never lose this pain never dream of you again"

    have fun.

The Pixies, "Monkey Gone To Heaven" (Doolittle). That album was recorded in 1989, so I guess the other quotes are from the same year?

Lookin' down the barrel of a gun
Son of a gun, son of a bitch
    Gettin' paid, gettin' rich

I know a couple other artists, but I can't remember the song titles.

And I'll add a few of my own:

The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds

Which is the one to blame when bullets blow
Either Peter, Jane, or John or Joe
But Joe can't shoot a gun, he's always drunk
And Peter's pimping Jane, and John's a punk

    These stones I throw
    Oh these French kisses
Are the only way I've found
And the world will turn to flowing pink vapor stew.

    Post Got some more quotes:

    "Camera's got them images
    Camera's got them all
    Nothing's shocking..."

"I'll tell you all the things
    You want to hear
    Don't worry baby
    There's nothing to fear
Hey little girl, would you like some candy?"

    "Missy aggravation
    Some sacred questions
    You stroke my locks
    Some marijuana
    If you got some"

    "The accusations fly
    Discrimination, why?
    Your inner self to die
    Intruding
    Doubt sunk itself in you
    It's teeth and talons through
    Your living catch-22
    Deluding
    A mass hysteria
    A megalomania
    Reveal dementia
    Reveal"

    "Your body has parts your
    Country can spare
    By the way son
    Here's your wheelchair"

"They're gonna put me in jail?
    Man, I'm already in jail
Don't they know that my life
    Is just one big cell"

"When I look up at the stars at night
What could I find beyond the light
Of a hundred million worlds that we ignore"

Note: Not all of these are from 1989; the 1st, 5th, and 6th are from 1990, and the 4th is from 1988. No more hints.

I'm glad you got it. Was kinda worried that I didn't slap enough postage on that particular item. ; P

Yeah, that DEP is something isn't it? First time I played it I thought my Walkman was skipping. As soon as I found a part I could bang my head to, it would quickly change to some spacey part, or just go apesh-t into another time signature. Good thing my roommate wasn't here, I probably looked like I was having a grand mal seizure. : P

followed by a drum fill from Mountain's "Mississippi Queen".. I was so pleased with myself that I could tell everyone back then where that sample came from..

    I've got bad intentions,
I intend to knock you down..

Sweet, "Bye Bye Badman" - my 2nd favorite song by the Stone Roses.. I was just listening to "I Am The Resurrection" (my #1 favorite) in the car a few minutes ago.. won't ever get tired of that first Stone Roses album..

I'll have to think on those others..

Ted, just admit it's the edge of the world. Guess I got the shortest straw with the rest
