There's a song called, "Reminds Me Of You Back On Top"?...that'll work...

My friend actually wrote the best ever tear-jerker country love song :
I Can't Get Over You While You're Under Him

On a more serious note, I like :
    Only With You

First of all, if anyone even tries to use any song...

...from Lionel Richie, they're dead where they stand. Mark my words.

Love songs. Seriously? I guess I'll play, but I'm doing so under protest.

Killing Me Softy - Roberta Flack
I call my bathroom Jim instead of John so I can tell people that I go to the Jim first thing every morning.

If you say the word 'gullible' very slowly it sounds just like oranges.

Actually this is a great question. I saw REO Speedwagon a couple of years ago and it really was very cool (not ironically cool either) to see what happened to the crowd during I Can't Fight This Feeling.

But, my nomination is a song still works on a certain former college cheerleader (my wife) who was trying to piss of her dad by dating the punk rock kid (me). Probably the only song on the list to include an "F"-bomb and "Ect."

I would have picked "One" because in Johnny Got His Gun the nurse gives Joe an HJ. That's love.

That was actually my Honey's pick. Mine is My Heart Will Go On (from Titanic) by Celine Dion.

I like your Honey's pick better

The only song I can tolerate from Celine Dion would be Power of Love.

Well, that was for SwishDaddy's benefit but he didn't take the bait this time. I actually can't stand Celine Dion's music.

My real pick would be Longer by Dan Fogelberg.

The Pogues: Rainy Night in Soho

I've been loving you a long time
Down all the years, down all the days
And I've cried for all your troubles
Smiled at your funny little ways
We watched our friends grow up together
And we saw them as they fell
Some of them fell into Heaven
Some of them fell into Hell

I took shelter from a shower
And I stepped into your arms
On a rainy night in Soho
The wind was whistling all its charms
I sang you all my sorrows
You told me all your joys
Whatever happened to that old song
To all those little girls and boys

Sometimes I wake up in the morning
    The gingerlady by my bed
Covered in a cloak of silence
I hear you talking in my head
I'm not singing for the future
I'm not dreaming of the past
I'm not talking of the fist time
I never think about the last

Now the song is nearly over
We may never find out what it means
Still there's a light I hold before me
You're the measure of my dreams
    The measure of my dreams

Yeah, I had to struggle with "taking the bait" too. My initial, immediate thought was, "I don't want too hear any songs by The Stork, I want to hear a song about her..

    ...a funeral dirge.".
So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner

The first time I visited Montreal I heard Celine in just about every shop and our hotel. I do not own any of her music other than what you hear while watching Titanic. Now when I hear her I remember the great visits to Montreal.

    Your odd fact du jour:
As I type this, the band playing on my iPod is called MyNameIsJohnMichael.

    Ever heard of them?
