    my MP3 player skips

kind of like, digital skips.. it's not an expensive MP3 player. Cheap Memorex thing I got on sale.

    I'm playing 160k WMA files.

    There's just like little skips.

Is this due to something that anyone knows about and has experience with, or do you think it's just because I have a cheap-ass MP3 player?

    My ideas are:

    Try MP3's instead of WMA's.

    Use a lower bit rate?

I'm at a loss, I'd like to use this thing but it's unlistenable.

    maybe new RAM?

    *shrug*

    Memorex crap.

apparently this thing likes 128k MP3's better than 160k WMA's. Go figure.

Not a clue. Shouldn't skip. Listen to the files on your computer and see if they're corrupted.

Sorry, Jar. Dusty's advice is good -- try playing the WMA's on your computer's player. If they skip - it's the files; if they don't skip - it's the Memorex.

    Good luck,

    Bill
