    I knew that!!

    What's amazing is how many young girls and women, now, play the sport in Canada and abroad.

    Got to go...

    My daughter's team has the first of their hockey playoff games tonight.

    Heck, we finally got some local highschool boys teams playing here, but no girls. No way. I have some older friends who play in a league at the nearby Hershey Arena, the former home of the AAA Bears.

    She's been playing ice hockey, since she was 4 years old. She asked to play when she was 3, but there was no league then. What's cool is she asked again when she was 4 & miraculously there was an interest region-wide. Fast forward ten years later & now there's a waiting list for young girls who want to play; there's a total of 16 teams and 4 levels.

    Btw., they won their first playoff game. Woohoooo!!
