    Bela Fleck Live
Just heard and NPR interview with Bela yesterday on my drive home. He's got a new album called Rocket Science.

I thought I'd check the Live Music Archive.

Turns out there is an excellent recording from a concert only a month ago at the North Carolina Museum of Art Ampitheatre. Good chance to here some selections from the album and a good concert recording to boot.

If you're a Flecktone fan this is worth downloading (also available as a stream).

Sweeeeet! I'm a Flecky. "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo" is a standard for testing bass reproduction. I have friends in Mexico City who say he plays there every year and is very popular. I first heard him played on Legacy Whispers at the Legacy factory in Springfield IL. I've been a fan since. Thanks for the link.

I got my tickets for a November show at the Keswick the day they went on sale. Looking forward to a great show!

I always wondered what would happen if his drummer, Futureman's drum thingy broke. Does he have another one just like it backstage, or does he trot out a drumkit, or what? I mean the thing looks like it's made out of plastic and wouldn't withstand a fall from above 3", ya know?
