    Beethoven - Fidelio
    For great sound AND performance, the EMI Otto Klemperer set from the early 60s is tough to beat. I have it on vinyl and just drool over how it must sound on remastered CD.

    Don't forget about Klemperer conducting Mozart's Magic Flute that's another gem. Never did like Klemperer conducting Mahler though. What do you think?
