    Attention Demetrio

And any other Prog or Post Rock Fans...

    God is an Astronaut

I stumbled onto this current Irish band a few weeks back, bought a CD, then another, just ordered two more and they have a new fifth CD, just now being released..

I found them following a trail of bands on You Tube, by the way, they have a TON of Videos on there, more than enough for you to make up your mind if you like them or not, so no need to believe me, but I will say it anyway:

These guys are awesome, all instrumental, they seem to have been lumped in with the Post Rock crowd, like GSYBE, Red Sparrows, Mogwai, etc. But they are much more progressive!

But take on listen and you will here that these guys are full-on PROGRESSIVE.. Some of their songs remind me of Future Kings of England (only BETTER... IMO). Also some bits remind me of Porcupine Tree (sans Steve's often whimpy wispery vocals)..

    Anyone else like them?

Hmmmmmm. This post looks kinda familiar.

Well, since I've read it twice now, and I know who the recommendation is coming from, I guess I should check them out.

hiding out in treetops, shouting out rude names
I have Age Of The Fifth Sun and it is great chill music. Proggy yes, but no metal. Very atmospheric and cinematic.
