Anyone going to see King Crimson this summer?
Fripp, Belew, and Levin are touring this summer. [edit-NO Tool] I have tickets for August at the Keswick, KC alone. Anyone else plan to check this show out in a town near you?

    I'm the TOOL!

I didn't notice a date on a web page. All I saw was August Tour on a Google link.

Should be interesting to see what Gavin Harison (from PTree) will add to the mix as he''ll be the drummer. Also should be interesting to see what PTree will do next after Gavin's been Frippertized, he should bringing some new ideas back to the band.
I'm not going -please post a review wouldya.

    Absolutely!

This should be interesting with dual drummers. Pat Mastelotto played with KC some time ago as a double drummer with Bruford. This should be a good show.

Gavin is drumming? That will be interesting. He's a great drummer.

Yea, no Adrian Belew and two drummers with Tony Levin should be some heavy riddims.

I saw a blog that says Pat's website has some video of him and Gavin, but I'm at work where it's blocked, so I can't verify.

Man, that's great news! Glad to hear the Twang Bar King is still at it!!

BTW: Have you seen the PFM video on Youtube? They do a MEAN version of "21st Century Schizoid Man" that would do any Crimson fan proud....

Er, or am I the only stringbean in here who listens to PFM?

whoops sorry, bad info, one of the websites had pictures of the current band and omitted Adrians photo, so I assumed he wasn't part of this tour. I stand corrected.

Belew complements Fripp like McCartney complemented Lennon, some melodic sense to offset the weirdness.

Man, you can't slip anything by this crowd.

Don't worry, I screwed up my original post cause I looked at an old google link where KC toured with Tool.

Many times I've sampled from the Italian prog buffet, but those operatic vocals in a foreign language make me hurl. For those not familar, imagine Pavarotti fronting Yes.

The only Italian band I enjoy is La Mascera de Cera, not operatic, more like rock vocals.

I hope Fripp & Co. makes it to Detroit. The Fox Theater or the Fillmore would be excellent venues. Fingers crossed.

    Cheers
