I snatched it up this afternoon and after a single, cursory listen got an impression of Thievery Corporation with Seventies porn guitars. Not a breakthrough but a pleasant enough listen.

Yeah, I saw it in Rasputin's today.
Kinda square with a plastic cover?

Read a review in today's paper that compared it to two earlier releases - Check Your Head and the other I can't remember, but as I read the description of the music it sounded a lot like "The in Sound from Way Out" which wasn't mentioned in the article. I used to listen to "The in Sound..." quite a bit many years ago. Whaddya think, bs?

I haven't heard it yet, but I wanna check it out. I actually even liked the last one. And I like Thievery Corporation, so it has me intrigued.

After a real sit-down listen I stand by my original summation: I like it.
It's recorded pretty well and their are a lot of layers. Nothing complex mid you, but I'm digging the interplay between the wahwah and the Hammond organ.
