Perhaps you might rank some of them different, your list may have some additions or subtractions but I don't think any one can argue #1, the narrative is right on.

    Thanks Peabody

On my list, would also add Smashing Pumpkins"s "1979". Excellent song. I also love the guitar work of Dinosaur Jr.

If you check out the link on the bottom, it provide Youtube link for each song

I did not realize I had been such a grunge fan until I read the list and saw all the music I own. I agree with 1st and 2nd place. Okay I am also in agreement with 3rd and 4th place. Now I am interested in hearing much of those songs today. May start with Alice and PJ on vinyl.

That's funny, I don't have any of those songs in my music library. In fact, I don't have anything by any of those artists in my library. Guess I'm not a grunge fan. Maybe I'm too old for grunge.

Not too old just not your taste. Hell I am closer to 60 than I ever thought I would be. Too late for me to claim an early death.

Same here...with the exception of a Soundgarden disk that I bought because I love the song Black-hole Sun. I bought the disk before the days of iTunes and the ability to download single songs. I couldn't tell you anything else on that disk, which shows how much attention I paid to it other than the one song. Grunge never really appealed to me.

I am not a huge Grunge fan, I do have my share of Nirvana, Bush, STP and Pearl Jam CD's..

And I do like the first two songs, but I would be very tempted to place Pearl Jam's "Black" as my favorite Grunge song, the emotion transmitted in the vocals of that song is simply amazing. Another HUGE fave "Jeremy" (also by Pearl Jam) should be much (much) higher than 31, it is also an amazing song...!

I had a handful of these act's albums at one time or another, but otherwise, I guess I'm not a diehard fan either. And yes, Jeremy should be top 10 easily.
