Thumbs up Portable Headphone Amps: There's not enough chatter

    Gentlemen,

I feel that these boards are severly lacking in discussion concerning portable headphone amps.

Here are some things to consider:
    • Xenos seems to have gone out of business. Check here. Is google just fooling with me?
    • Practical Devices has a picture of an XM4 being run over by a BMW. Seriously. That's what sold me on the XM4. That car weighs 4000 pounds.

Not really sure what you post was about, but here is a link you probably know already.

If not then enjoy. I've decided to build one myself later this year, cuz I feel that I need to get some soldering done, before I tackle S.E.X. Headphone/Integrated amp by Bottlehead. Not portable by any means, but the one in link is.

    Peace out,

    JRA

what does the weight bearing capacity of the amp casing have to do with sound quality? oh, and if it weighs 4000 lbs, that tire, being a bit higher up and in the rear of the car probably only has 750 lbs on it at most. not really that big of a deal.
