These are the best speakers I've ever owned (whether tower, bookshelf or earspeaker)... just an amazing value for money....

I've listened to their precursor the ATH-AD7 (I think that's how they're related) and they're a great bargain I think. Overall very good performance and an easy to drive headphone as well.

I've got a pair of the AD900s being shipped to me now.

AURICAURICLE i did take a gander at your review of the ATH-AD700, your right on the money Mon.
yes it could used a pinch of "bass/beef "up i own a pair myself.... have you used,seen or know of any headphone amp etc. that would help in that area... budget wise its a good value, so i am wiling to pay < > $250 for a amps ? any suggestion's from you,... you all welcome.

Unfortunately, my knowledge about headphone amps is a lot like my budget at present: LIMITED. Look around this site using the "Search" prompt at the top of the page. The blokes here have posted quite alot regarding 'phones and amps and you should find what you need to make an informed and intelligent decision....

My AT-AD started to open-up after about 100 hours, so your pair should do the same.
