I guess I've got too much time too. My avatar's one I use on another forum. In that forum it sits below another graphic and most users try to integrate their avatars with it. I'm a bench scientist and I always liked Beaker. Stole the muppet beaker image and twiddled with his eyes to get him to look the right direction. It took me about a year to come up with the idea...
