    Post A Chicken fact

I didn't know this fact untill my co-worker who raise chicken in her back yard told me:

If chicken lay eggs without a rooster, eggs will never hatch. So chicken have to be paired with a rooster to have chicks.

    Just FYI

That is true. But chicken will lay eggs regardless of whether its fertilized or not. Initially, I thought that all eggs will hatch if chicken sat on it

Pre menopausal women ovulate once a month. Lots of eggs are never fertilized.

Or chickens that don't know facts of life

I asked the coworker who raise chickens, and she said chickens instinctively will sit on the egg whether they fertilized or not.
