I have a similar problem. Although macOS has a video player by default and in many ways it is not bad, but there are times when you need to change the aspect ratio or size, adjust the brightness or contrast, turn off the PC after a while, watch streaming video, etc. If you want to get wider settings, the standard player will not be enough.
