No, I've been playing Resistance as much as you play Burnout

I'll grab it eventually. My kid love playing the demo.

Hmmm....maybe I should start hanging around Circuit City.

I was there Saturday and it wasn't worth the wait. They did have 20% off on Guitar Hero World Tour, so I bought it for my son's birthday (which is today). You never see that go on sale and it was a decent discount for a hugely expensive video game. Most of the other games were only 10% off, and the stickers were full boat. I tried to buy the wi-fi receiver for the X360 but was shocked when they rang it up at $100! Shoot, I can walk in to Best Buy right now and get the sucker for $60. Needless to say, I didn't buy it. BTW, Gates is SOB. He made the usb receiver deep into the back panel thereby forcing you to get the overpriced microsoft reciever that has an extension.

Give it a week or so and then check in, hopefully they'll have deeper discounts by them. The prices on everything else I saw (flat screens, audio, cameras) were almost insulting, even with the "discount."

Hey FA, I hope you are taking care of yourself! Is hubby helping out so you can get some extra rest? Also, homemade chicken noodle soup is the best when your not feeling well. (I have an excellent recipe if you need/want it). I wished I lived closer so I could make you a big batch & bring it over! Take Care!
Don't you like it on the sly? Don't you like it till it hurts? Have I been on your mind? What's a voice without a song?

Hey L.J. Not much here either, storms coming in today, tom. & Sat. I've got a few meetings w/ brides scheduled to potentially drum up some catering biz. Not much else is new, hopefully the meetings will go well and I'll get a few weddings on the calendar! OH, and my new website is officially up, finally. So I'm trying to find cheap marketing for that. That's about all...

Thanks Sugar, that's very sweet (no pun intended ). Normally my mom is my chicken soup source. She seems to have an endless stash in her freezer. Unfortunately, she's in Florida at the moment. I don't have the energy today to make it myself, plus I'd have to go to the grocery store and that just isn't going to happen. Hubby is at work but I'm sure that he'll look after me when he gets home. In the meantime, I've been feeding myself with my favourite comfort foods and drinking lots of juice.

Feanor, I'm sorry to hear that you hab a code too. That sucks.

L.J. how are things at your end? Everything going well?

    L.J. -

Great to hear from you again! Sounds like things are getting better at your end, given that you're back to talking about video games ... and hanging around CC trolling for deals.

Hey Speedy, happy b-day to the little one!

That's one of the dirty little secrets about these bankruptcy liquidation sales -- the deals aren't all that great in the beginning. For one thing, the inventory is all owned by a liquidation specialist that probably knows very little about the CE market. Circuit City management would selectively mark down specific items to move inventory, whereas the liquidator just declares a flat percentage discount off the sticker/list price. Amazes me that people will line up early in the morning when the discounts are mostly limited to 10% off.

When Good Guys went belly up, I remember the stores were already picked fairly clean by the time the discounts got up to around 30%. I waited until the markoff reached 40% off before I pulled the trigger on my SACD player.

    What uuuuuup!

No code here. Perfect health, for now? My trainer just about killed me last night. Can't lift my arms above my head today and sittin on the crapper is just not fun at all right now. You never really realize how low a crapper is until you are recovering from a hard workout.

    Anyway, enough about me......

Glad see you around these parts a little more often. Sounds like things are looking up. I got to fire my PS3 up for games some day and kick some of you guy's sorry arses! Just been playing BR movies so far. Never really been a gamer. How hard could it be?

Hey everyone has different avatars now. Maybe I should change mine too.

Everything is ok on my end. The wife and I have been spending time together. We went to live comedy at the punchline in San Francisco and stayed the night at my favorite hotel, Embassy Suites. We rarely get away from the kids and it's something we are gonna work on. Were going dancing this Sat. at a little club she's been wanting to go to.

I'm giving her space and time to open up to me and I'm just being her friend in the meantime. Things could have got ugly really quick and I'm glad I kept my cool. I thank you guys again for the great advice. And FA, trust me, I took your advice as well.

It's been raining a little here in central Cali. I love it though.

Top, thanks for the heads up. I'll give CC a try later I guess. I wouldn't mind a 2nd Harmony if I can get my hands on a 880 for under a 100.

Things are good. My biggest concern now is getting my 3 year old potty trained lol.

    Whattup L.J.

I behaved inappropriately on any number of levels today.
So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : "Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing"
I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

Hey, check this out. Directed by Tim Burton and an awesome looking cast. I'm looking forward to this one!
