After a tough 55 hr induced labour, at about 3pm AST on Thursday my wife delivered our identical twin daughters. They are a whopping 4 lbs and 6 oz, and 5 lbs, and gorgeous. Little Robin and Piper are about a 4 weeks premature so will have to stay in the NICU for a little while until they are ready to come home, and we're thankful they have such great care 24/7. It's early, but thankfully it appears as though they have mom's lips, eyes, and nose.

Mom's doing well. I don't recommend 55 hr labours for anyone. I would have tapped out early on. She's a champ. I will post a pic once all the wires and tubes come off, hopefully soon.

I wish everyone could feel as happy as I do now.

More to the point congratulations Mrs. Kex!!!!
55 hrs of labor is brutal and I hope she came through it okay.
I am sure we can expect to see several pics of the new arrivals.

Congratulations Kex and I am glad your wife is doing well. Yes we would like to see pictures ASAP. Have you begun to think of ways to tell them apart? I hope Robin and Piper are home soon.

Congrats Kex...and Godspeed to Mrs. Kex for quick recovery...

...have you contacted Jennifer Botterill and Hayley Wickenheiser to let 'em know to reserve a spot for the Kexette twins in 2028? Go Canuckian wimmins, Go!

    Great names btw...

Congrats Kex and Mrs. Kex! What a trooper your wife is. I wouldn't even want to do something that I like for 55 hours! I just can't imagine a 55 hour labour. Poor thing, I hope she's recovering well.

Can't wait to see pictures of the Kexettes!

Wow! How did I miss this thread?

Congrats Kex. I can't wait to see pics of the Kexettes.

Robin and Piper are lucky girls to be born into such a loving home. Nice names by the way.
