Tired and worn out after a long night of midwifery, 6 young ones are here. All well and healthy.

This brings me back so much memories. I used to work as a vet tech for a couple of years. Delivering puppies were definetly one of my favorite duties. We never assisted natural labor, but cesarean section was always exciting,
At the time, I knew that was what I wanted to do in life. But I decided to major in business. I hope to own my low-cost veternary preventative care clinic by the time I'm 40.

    Thanks for the memories.

To Bernd: I.O.U. for one (1) Ramon Allones at a date to be designated later (perhaps a spring trip across the pond)

    Congrats dad!

Thank you. I am looking forward to it. Good company, food, drink, music and a nice hand rolled.
I feel surrounded by the very young and the old and infirm at the moment. Hands and full spring to mind.
As the man said - Rust Never Sleeps

    Hi FA,

    They are Miniature Wirehaired Dachshunds.
Have no idea about shipping costs, but this litter is already spoken for. We always got more prospective owners than puppies.

    Peace

I can see why you have more prospective owners than pups. They look like beautiful dogs and, I understand, that dachshunds have great personalities.

To answer JRs question. I was kidding about the shipping. I don't think that I could ever put an animal through the stress of a long journey like that.

...OK because teats are not deemed to conjure up any prurient interest (hopefully)...whereas t!t$ tend to...It's all societal...We do we tend to say OOOhhh puppies!!! and other cultures see them as the blue plate special...

Thought I would post a little update on the critters. They're six weeks today. Three more weeks to go till they go to their new homes.
This picture is of real twins (same bag and afterbirth) and doesn't happen very often.
Anyway festive greetings from a warm puppy pen to you all.

    Peace

Oh, I seriously want one. Our next door neighbour just got a dog and I'm sooooooo jealous. Are the twins going to the same home? It seems kinda sad to separate twins.

Good to hear that everything is running smoothly this time around. Letting go of such beautiful creatures must be the most difficult part of the job. Take care...M

These two will be staying with us for the time being as they seem to be very promising.
Six puppies can eat some and produce some believe me. Placing a little dog like this into the right home is one of lives great pleassures.
