Rock sifter plans, Vibrating screen agitator, Need advice

I am trying to build a rock sifter for my garden. I have a sheet of industrial woven metal for rock sifting. Its like small chicken wire but woven for super strength. I am trying to figure out a way to make this screen vibrate up and down or side to side. Direction doesnt matter just so It sifts the rock from the dirt.

I know similar products are made for audio that make couches and furniture vibrate. Hrmmm. Any ideas on how to make this screen vibrate? I have a welder and an extra horizontal shaft motor. I am handy with belts and pulleys.

Dunno, but you will have to use eccentric gears or pulleys.

You can't mount it on a couple 15" Subs?

ha ha, ya right, thinking about it. Probably going to weld an axle with pistons pumpin in an up and down motion. not sure yet
